Terms of service
Terms of Service
Overview
This website is operated by Future Classics Furniture ("we", "us" and "our"). By using our website or buying from us, you agree to these Terms of Service, together with our Refund Policy, Order and Delivery Policies and Privacy Policy, which are available on our website.
Our store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the online platform that lets us sell our products to you.
Your consumer rights
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a fault is not a major failure, we will choose whether to repair or replace the item, and we will usually offer a repair first. If there is a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW).
Our 12-month warranty
Our 12-month warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship in the frame and structure of your furniture. It does not cover fabric or leather (upholstery).
The warranty starts on the date your item is delivered by our courier, or on the purchase date if you collect it or buy directly from a showroom. If an item is replaced, the warranty continues from the original delivery date.
This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, not instead of them. Those rights still apply to all of our products, including fabric and leather.
How to make a warranty claim
·      Email info@futureclassicsfurniture.com.au within the warranty period with photos of the defect, your order number and your proof of purchase.
·      We'll assess your claim and may ask for more information. If your claim is approved, we will repair or replace the defective part or item.
·      You won't be charged freight to return a defective product to us.
Warranty provided by: Future Classics Furniture, Unit 3, 2 William Street, Beaconsfield NSW 2015. Email: info@futureclassicsfurniture.com.au
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
1. Using our website
·      You must be at least 18 years old, or using the website with the consent of a parent or guardian.
·      You must not use our website for any unlawful purpose, or to transmit viruses or harmful code, collect other people's personal information, spam, scrape, or interfere with the website's security.
·      We may suspend or restrict your access to the website if you breach these terms.
2. Product information and images
·      We work hard to describe our products accurately. Colours and finishes may vary slightly from screen images. Natural timber, marble and leather vary in grain and colour, and this is not a defect.
·      Some product images on our website are AI-generated. Please check the written product details for exact dimensions and materials. If you're unsure, visit one of our showrooms or contact us for extra photos before you buy.
·      Occasionally our website may contain a typing error or an inaccuracy, for example in a price, description or availability. We may correct it at any time. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you, and you may choose to proceed at the correct details or cancel for a full refund.
3. Prices
·      All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
·      Prices may change without notice, but the price you pay is fixed at the time of sale. For pre-orders, the item is reserved for you at the agreed price.
4. Orders and payment
·      Your order is confirmed once payment is processed and we send your order confirmation.
·      Goods are held or dispatched only once the required deposit or full payment is received in cleared funds.
·      We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Afterpay and Zip. All payment options are shown at checkout. Please contact us if you'd like to discuss layby.
·      Please give us current, complete and accurate purchase and contact details, so we can process your order and reach you about delivery.
·      We may decline or cancel an order, or limit quantities, for example if we can't obtain payment authorisation, suspect fraud, or if an item is unavailable. If we cancel your order, we will tell you and refund any amount you have paid for the cancelled items, or give you store credit if you prefer.
·      Ownership of goods passes to you once we have received payment in full.
5. Cancellations, returns and delivery
Cancellations, change of mind, floor stock, damage claims and refunds are covered in our Refund Policy. Delivery and collection are covered in our Order and Delivery Policies. In short:
·      We do not offer refunds, returns or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect selection, including after delivery or collection.
·      If you cancel a confirmed order before delivery, we may deduct reasonable costs actually incurred, such as storage and handling, and credit the balance.
·      Custom, made-to-order or specially sourced items cannot be cancelled once production or ordering has begun, except where required by law.
·      Please report transit damage or missing parts within 48 hours, with photos. This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
·      Delivery dates are estimates. We are not responsible for delays beyond our reasonable control, and we will keep you updated.
6. Care
Please follow our care instructions. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damage caused by incorrect assembly, incorrect cleaning, misuse, lack of maintenance or normal wear and tear.
7. Third-party tools and links
Our website may include third-party tools, such as payment providers, or links to other websites. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms, and we don't control their content. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for third-party websites or services that we don't provide.
8. Comments and feedback
If you send us reviews, ideas or other feedback, you agree we may use it, without payment, to improve and promote our business. Please make sure your comments are honest, lawful and respectful, and don't infringe anyone else's rights.
9. Personal information
Your personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.
10. Website availability
We aim to keep our website running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or withdraw parts of the website or products at any time.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of our website. This clause does not exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the Fair Trading Act 1987 (NSW), including the consumer guarantees that apply to the goods we sell.
12. Your responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for loss or claims that arise because you breach these terms or the law when using our website, except to the extent that the loss was caused by us.
13. General
·      If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the terms continue to apply.
·      If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
·      These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by posting the new version on this page. The terms that apply to your order are the ones in place when you placed it.
